The Hamptons International Film Festival has announced its opening night film for the 2026 edition will be 'I Play Rocky,' with the festival also set to honor directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The festival, scheduled from October 2nd to 12th, will also feature honorees such as Jordan Firstman and Rosalind Eleazar.
In parallel industry news, Roadside Attractions and Vertical have secured the first U.S. acquisition out of the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The film, titled 'Babies,' directed by Lauren Miller Rogen and starring Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick, will have its world premiere at TIFF, which begins September 10th. A theatrical release is anticipated for 2027.
