AMC Theatres Launches Indie Distribution Label Leawood Films

AMC Theatres, the world's largest movie theater chain, is venturing into film distribution with the launch of its new label, Leawood Films. This initiative aims to bring independent films to theaters that might otherwise be overlooked.

The new venture will be advised by a distinguished panel of Hollywood veterans, including former Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group chairman Toby Emmerich, marketing expert Ricky Strauss, and former Paramount distribution head Kyle Davies. Davies, in particular, is leaving his role as President of Distribution at Bleecker Street to lead distribution efforts for Leawood Films.
