Ukraine Launches Massive Drone Assault on Moscow, Uses Ballistic Missile

Ukraine launched its largest-ever drone attack on Moscow and the surrounding region, targeting critical infrastructure and coinciding with the final day of Russia's parliamentary elections. Russian authorities reported downing hundreds of drones, with Moscow's mayor stating 450 were intercepted. The assault resulted in at least three fatalities and damaged a significant oil refinery, which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described as a key facility for Russia's oil industry.

In addition to the extensive drone offensive, Ukraine reportedly used a Pelican ballistic missile for the first time in strikes against Russia. Kyiv has accused Moscow of attempting to disrupt its elections with these attacks.
