Russia Escalates Attacks on Ukrainian Infrastructure, Targeting Rail Network

Russia has intensified its assault on Ukraine by targeting the nation's railway infrastructure, marking a deadly new phase in the conflict. On Tuesday, six railway employees were killed when a ballistic missile struck a locomotive depot in Kyiv. This attack was part of a broader bombardment of the capital and its surrounding region, which also hit other railway facilities.

Ukrainian officials reported that at least 12 people died and a dozen more were wounded, including three children, in the latest strikes. President Putin has pledged continued retaliation against Ukraine and expressed solidarity with Iran. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has warned airlines that Russian airspace is no longer safe, suggesting a potential closure of Russian skies.
