Qualcomm Unveils AI-Focused Smartphone Chips; Rabbit Launches Standalone AI Agent

Qualcomm has announced its latest flagship smartphone processors, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Extreme version, with a significant emphasis on enhanced AI capabilities. These new chips are designed to locally run advanced AI models, including a 30 billion parameter mixture-of-experts model, promising improved performance for on-device artificial intelligence tasks such as image processing, gaming, and video capture.

In parallel, Rabbit, the company known for its R1 AI device, is shifting its strategy by releasing a standalone AI agent. This new OS3 "agentic operating system" will operate in the cloud but function locally across Windows, Mac, and Linux devices, eliminating the need for dedicated hardware.
