Netflix Adapts Sega's 'Crazy Taxi' for Film, Expands 'Sonic' Universe

Netflix is deepening its partnership with Sega, announcing a slate of new video game adaptations. The most prominent among these is a feature film based on the high-octane arcade classic, 'Crazy Taxi.' The movie is set to be the first project released under this expanded collaboration.

In addition to the 'Crazy Taxi' film, Netflix is also developing a new animated series centered on the iconic 'Sonic the Hedgehog.' This series is described as having "edge," aiming to appeal to younger audiences seeking a bit more intensity. The partnership further includes a live-action film adaptation of 'Stranger Than Heaven,' a title from Yakuza developer RGG Studio.
