Blizzard Announces 'Diablo 5,' 'StarCraft' Shooter, and 'WoW Forever' at BlizzCon

Blizzard Entertainment made a series of significant announcements at BlizzCon 2026, revealing upcoming titles and expansions for its major franchises. The company confirmed that "Diablo V" is targeting a Spring 2029 release, set a century after the events of "Diablo IV." Additionally, a new "StarCraft" game, an open-world shooter titled simply "StarCraft," is slated for a 2030 launch, marking the first mainline entry in the series since 2015.

Further expanding its classic offerings, Blizzard announced "World of Warcraft Forever," an expanded version of the original 2004 game, set to launch on November 4th. The company also revealed that the "Diablo" video game franchise is being adapted into an animated series by Netflix. These announcements come as Roblox celebrated its 20th anniversary with its Innovation Awards, where "Animal Hospital" was a notable winner.
