Paramount-WBD Deal Establishes Editorial Boards for CNN, CBS News; Pluto TV Protected

As part of a settlement with state attorneys general and the WGA, Paramount Global's proposed merger with Warner Bros. The settlement also addresses the future of specific networks, with BET and Comedy Central identified as potential divestiture targets, while premium channels and TV studios are omitted from these considerations. The Writers Guild of America (WGA) confirmed its lawsuit settlement, which includes $17.5 million for a health fund and no writer layoffs at CBS News, aligning with the broader agreement that seeks to resolve antitrust and labor concerns surrounding the merger.
