Future Library Secures Laurie Anderson's Manuscript for 88-Year Seclusion

The Future Library project, an ambitious initiative based in Oslo, has announced that Grammy award-winning artist Laurie Anderson will be its 13th contributor. Anderson's latest manuscript will be sealed and kept from public view for 88 years, with its unveiling scheduled for 2114.

This tradition of contributing unseen works places Anderson among a distinguished group of authors, including Margaret Atwood, Han Kang, and Ocean Vuong, who have also entrusted their writings to the project's long-term preservation. The Future Library aims to create a unique collection of literary works that will only be accessible to future generations.
