Laurie Anderson Joins Future Library, Submitting Manuscript for 88-Year Seclusion

Grammy award-winning artist Laurie Anderson is the latest prominent figure to contribute to the Future Library project, a unique literary endeavor based in Oslo. Anderson's new manuscript will be locked away, unseen by the public, until the year 2114, marking her as the 13th author to participate in this long-term initiative.

The Future Library project aims to create a collection of manuscripts that will only be published 100 years after their creation. Anderson's contribution joins works from other acclaimed writers such as Margaret Atwood, Han Kang, and Ocean Vuong, all of whom have entrusted their writings to this unique archive, fostering a sense of anticipation and historical preservation for future generations.
