SandboxAQ Launches Switch for Collaborative AI Agent Workspaces

SandboxAQ has introduced Switch, an open-source system designed to integrate AI agents into team communication platforms like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Discord. The system allows human users and AI agents to interact within shared "rooms," which maintain conversation history, participants, and established rules, facilitating seamless collaboration.

Switch supports a variety of AI agent frameworks, including those built with Claude Code, Google ADK, LangChain, and OpenAI. This interoperability aims to streamline workflows by bringing AI capabilities directly into existing communication channels. While the core software is available under an Apache 2.0 license, a Commons Clause restricts the sale of paid products or services that derive their primary value from the software, indicating a focus on community development and integration rather than direct commercialization of the tool itself.
