Nor'easter Storm Kills One, Leaves Hundreds of Thousands Without Power

A powerful nor'easter storm has swept across the U.S. East Coast, causing widespread disruption, power outages, and at least one fatality. The storm brought heavy winds, flooding, and hazardous ocean conditions from North Carolina to New England, knocking down trees and power lines.

As of Sunday, approximately 110,500 households remained without electricity. The severe weather also led to the uncovering of a potential 19th-century shipwreck on Nantucket Island. Meanwhile, in the Himalayas, rescuers are searching for at least 10 Nepalese individuals missing after an avalanche struck a climbing base camp preparing to ascend the Himlung Himal peak, with two bodies already recovered.
