Oasis Halt Auction of Priceless Unheard Recordings Amid Legal Action

A significant collection of unreleased Oasis material, including over 60 live performances and extensive rehearsal tapes from the 1990s, has been withdrawn from auction following legal intervention by the band. The trove, featuring candid conversations between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, was expected to fetch upwards of £1.6 million.

Littleton Auctions in Worcestershire had listed the collection, compiled by former band sound engineer Huw Richards, with an estimated value between £1.2 million and £1.6 million. The legal action taken by Oasis has now prevented the sale, disappointing the auction house and potential buyers eager to acquire these rare historical recordings.
