Oasis Archive Up for Auction Amid Gallagher Brothers' Objections

A significant archive of over 100 hours of Oasis recordings, encompassing live concerts, rehearsals, soundchecks, and candid conversations between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, is set to go under the hammer. The collection, amassed by the band's former sound engineer Huw Richards, is expected to fetch between £1.2 million and £1.6 million.

Despite the substantial historical value and potential financial return, the auction faces objections from the Gallagher brothers themselves. The archive, comprising 209 DAT tapes, 73 analogue cassettes, and three MiniDiscs, documents the band's work from their 1994 debut album, "Definitely Maybe," until 2001. The sale is being handled by Richards' son, Owain.
