Netflix Expands Kids Slate, Renews 'The Beast In Me,' and Announces New Series

Netflix is significantly bolstering its content offerings with a slate of new and returning series, particularly focusing on its children's programming. The streamer announced a new "Sesame Street" film in development, a "Gabby's Dollhouse" spinoff titled "Doozie's Doghouse," and a new animated feature, "In Waves." In addition to its children's lineup, Netflix has renewed the limited series "The Beast In Me" for a second season, with Claire Danes set to reprise her role. Further expanding its scripted offerings, the platform revealed the title of Charlie Brooker's new series as "Blackmere," with Rory Kinnear joining the cast.
