Stolen Masterpieces by Cézanne, Renoir, and Matisse Recovered in Italy and Brazil

Italian authorities have successfully recovered three valuable paintings by Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Henri Matisse, which were stolen in a nighttime heist from the Magnani Rocca Foundation near Parma in March. The artworks, collectively valued at over $10 million (€9 million), were found five months after the theft. In a separate incident, Brazilian police have recovered eight prints by Henri Matisse that were stolen from a library in São Paulo last year. These prints were discovered at a residence in the São Paulo metropolitan area, leading to an arrest.
