KC Global Media Asia has completed production in Beijing on its inaugural China original series, "VIII: Awakening." This fantasy adventure drama, based on a classic Chinese mythology legend, consists of 24 15-minute episodes and marks a significant expansion for the company into the Chinese market. The series follows an insurance investigator who discovers a precognitive power.

In other entertainment news, actor Andrew Garfield has once again voiced his support for a gay iteration of the iconic superhero Spider-Man. Garfield, who previously starred as the web-slinger, recalled a 2013 interview where he questioned the lack of LGBTQ+ representation for the character.
