Creative Arts Emmys Award Top Honors; 'Antiques Roadshow' and Bad Bunny Score Wins

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards have commenced, with the first of two ceremonies celebrating achievements across various television genres. In a significant upset, "Antiques Roadshow" secured its first-ever Emmy after 24 nominations, winning Outstanding Structured Reality Program and breaking the long-standing streak of "Queer Eye" and "Shark Tank." This marks a historic moment for the PBS series, which has been a staple for viewers since 1997.

Bad Bunny also achieved a notable win, taking home an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) for "The Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show." The performance garnered a total of seven nominations, with wins also in music direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting design, technical direction, and directing. Elsewhere, Octavia Spencer earned her first Emmy for Outstanding Narrator for her work on "Lost Women of Alaska," preventing Sir David Attenborough from becoming the oldest Emmy recipient.
