ICE Agent Accused of Assault Avoids Extradition as Federal Judge Refuses Intervention

The legal battle centered on whether Texas authorities could extradite Castro to Minnesota to face charges. The federal judge's decision means Castro may not be compelled to return to Minnesota to stand trial for the alleged assault on Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis, a 24-year-old Venezuelan man who was reportedly shot in the leg.
