Peacock Announces 'Wendy Williams Show' Docuseries for 2027

Peacock has officially greenlit a three-part documentary series focusing on the life and career of television personality Wendy Williams and her highly successful daytime talk show. Tentatively titled "Clap If You Care: The Wendy Williams Show," the docuseries is slated for release in 2027.

The project aims to serve as both a celebration of the syndicated talk show, which concluded in 2022, and a cautionary narrative exploring the complexities of celebrity. While Wendy Williams herself is not directly involved in the production, a key figure from her show's past, executive producer Suzzanne Bass, is spearheading the docuseries. Bass, who frequently appeared on camera reacting to Williams' commentary, will be instrumental in shaping the project's perspective.
