Netflix Adapts Sega Games: Crazy Taxi Movie, Sonic Series, and Stranger Than Heaven Film Announced

Netflix is expanding its video game adaptation portfolio with a new slate of projects in partnership with Sega. The streaming giant has announced a feature film based on the popular arcade racing game "Crazy Taxi," which will be written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, known for their work on "The Naked Gun" reboot.

In addition to the "Crazy Taxi" movie, the collaboration will also bring a new "Sonic" animated series to the platform, described as being "built for kids who want to feel a little edge." Furthermore, a live-action film adaptation of "Stranger Than Heaven," from "Yakuza" developer RGG Studio, is also in development. The "Crazy Taxi" film is slated to be the first project released from this multi-title deal.
