UN Experts Cite US War Crimes in Iran Strikes; Iran Faces Humanity Charges

United Nations human rights experts have stated there are "reasonable grounds" to believe the United States committed war crimes during two strikes in Iran that resulted in at least 177 civilian deaths. The report specifically cites missile strikes on a primary school in Minab and a sports complex in Lamerd as indiscriminate attacks causing civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure.

In parallel, the same UN report found that Iranian authorities committed crimes against humanity during a crackdown on anti-government protests. The experts described the killings by security forces during these protests as occurring on a "staggering and unprecedented scale" across the country. The US has not yet commented on the findings regarding the strikes, having previously denied striking one location and stated an investigation is underway for the other.
