UEFA Chief Slams Infantino's World Cup Plan as 'Worse Than Super League'

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has strongly criticized FIFA President Gianni Infantino's recently abandoned plan to sell stakes in the World Cup, labeling it "even worse than the Super League plan." Ceferin's remarks come as UEFA, along with support from Concacaf and the Asian Football Confederation, is pushing for Infantino's resignation.

The Football Forward Enterprise (FFE) scheme was shelved in early August due to significant opposition. UEFA has not ruled out boycotting FIFA competitions while simultaneously exploring the possibility of a joint Nations League tournament with Concacaf. Ceferin also warned Infantino that he will face an opponent if he seeks re-election in March.
