A recent SpaceX mission has achieved a new US speed record en route to the International Space Station (ISS). The flight, led by astronaut Jessica Watkins, marks a significant milestone as she becomes the first Black woman to command a crewed mission to orbit.
The four-person crew arrived at the ISS after an expedited eight-hour journey from Cape Canaveral. Despite initial weather concerns and a previous three-week delay due to a fuel system issue on the Dragon capsule, the launch proceeded successfully. This mission underscores SpaceX's continued advancements in human spaceflight and its role in supporting NASA's objectives.
