Crocodile-Infested River Approved for 2032 Olympic Rowing and Canoeing

The Fitzroy River in Queensland, Australia, has been officially approved as the venue for the 2032 Olympic rowing and canoeing events, despite significant concerns over its large crocodile population. The decision was made by the sport's governing bodies, World Rowing and Paddle Worldwide, following a comprehensive assessment that deemed the river fit for competition.

While the presence of approximately 500 crocodiles has raised eyebrows, Olympic organizers and governing bodies have given the green light after an independent assessment confirmed the venue's suitability.
