The Writers Guild Foundation has announced the five military veterans selected for its 2026 Veterans Fellowship program. This initiative aims to support veterans transitioning into careers in screenwriting.
The chosen fellows for 2026 are Jon-Alexander Genson, Kat Castañeda, Manda K. Skelton, Shain Brenden, and Shannon Corbeil. Each participant will be paired with an established industry mentor, including acclaimed author Dennis Lehane and television producer David Schulner, to guide them through the program.
