Amazon MGM Studios has acquired worldwide rights to "Throttled," a feature film adaptation of Lauren Asher's motorsport racing romance novel. The film will star Josh Heuston, known for his role in "Off Campus," and is based on the first book in Asher's "Dirty Air" series, which follows an ambitious young woman entering the racing circuit.

In other motorsport news, IndyCar driver Alex Palou confirmed that a planned GT3 race alongside Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen in Portugal this October will not happen. Despite the drivers' long-standing desire to compete together, scheduling conflicts have prevented the collaboration for 2026. Meanwhile, the Huset's Speedway season concluded with Emerson Axsom securing his first career World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series victory, leading every lap of the $25,000-to-win main event.
