The International League T20 (ILT20) has officially launched its fifth season with a star-studded event in Dubai, featuring cricket legends Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar. The league aims to further boost cricket's popularity in the region, with defending champions Desert Vipers set to compete in November and December across three UAE venues.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, officials have addressed security concerns for the upcoming first T20I match between India and Afghanistan on September 13th. The Arun Jaitley Stadium will host the match, with Shreyas Iyer captaining the Indian team. Afghanistan is expected to present a strong spin bowling unit led by Ibrahim Zadran.
