Joey Barton Denied Bail, Trial Pushed to March

Former footballer Joey Barton will remain in custody as his trial for grievous bodily harm with intent has been adjourned. Barton, 44, was accused of attacking Kevin Lynch, 51, outside a golf club in Huyton on March 8.

The trial, initially scheduled to take place last week at Liverpool Crown Court, has now been postponed and is set to commence in March of next year. Barton's bail application was refused, meaning he will stay incarcerated until the court proceedings resume.
