Black Rodeo Drama Adds New Cast; Louisiana Softball Coach Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

Starz has expanded the cast of its upcoming one-hour drama series set in the world of Black rodeo in Southeast Texas. Shannon Wallace, Curtiss Cook, Lauren E. Banks, Liv Symone, and Jason Dirden have been added as series regulars, joining previously announced cast members. The series, which received an eight-episode order in April, marks Starz's second self-owned series.

In other sports news, Louisiana softball head coach Alyson Habetz announced on August 24th that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite the diagnosis, Habetz confirmed her intention to return for the 2027 season, signaling her commitment to the team and the sport.
