Potter Earns First Lionesses Call-Up; Toone, Kelly Omitted for World Cup Qualifiers

Chelsea midfielder Lexi Potter has received her inaugural senior England call-up for the upcoming Women's World Cup qualifying playoff against Greece. The 20-year-old's inclusion comes after a period of impressive form for her club, notably in their recent victory over Arsenal.

However, the squad announcement also saw notable omissions, with Manchester United's Ella Toone and Manchester City's Chloe Kelly not selected by manager Sarina Wiegman. The squad does, however, welcome back captain Leah Williamson, who returns after an injury layoff. Uncapped midfielder Erica Meg Parkinson and winger Freya Godfrey have also received call-ups.
