US Strikes Iran, Killing Four at Wedding; Tehran Vows Retaliation

U.S. forces conducted missile and drone strikes against Iranian targets on Tuesday, with U.S. Central Command citing recent attempted attacks by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) against commercial shipping and American service members. The Iranian Red Crescent reported that shrapnel from a U.S. missile strike hit a home during a wedding celebration in Sirik, southern Iran, killing four people, including a child, and injuring over 50.

In response to the U.S. action, the IRGC vowed retribution, and Iranian news agencies reported that retaliatory missile and drone attacks on U.S. targets had commenced. President Donald Trump issued a warning, stating that Iran would face significantly harsher consequences if it retaliated against the strikes.
