Infantino Faces Calls for FIFA Reform Amid Trump Scrutiny and Governance Concerns

Council members are also demanding that Infantino include previously abandoned World Cup sell-off plans and the Folarin Balogun affair in his proposed external review of FIFA's governance. Infantino has stated his intention to commission a review of "Fifa’s current governance framework for major strategic initiatives," but faces internal challenges regarding the scope of this review. He has expressed a desire for "a culture of dialogue" ahead of these planned reforms, emphasizing the need for open discussions and mutual respect.
