Former NFL star wide receiver Antonio Brown is set to avoid prison time after agreeing to a plea deal on an attempted murder charge in Miami. Brown's lawyer confirmed the agreement, stating that the player will accept an aggravated assault charge instead. This development comes as Brown faced a potential sentence of up to 30 years if convicted of the original charge.

The incident stems from an altercation following a celebrity boxing match on May 16, 2025. According to an arrest warrant, Brown allegedly fired two shots at a man he had previously been in a physical dispute with, after grabbing a handgun from a security staffer. Brown is scheduled to finalize the plea deal in court next Wednesday.
