Ghent University Professor's Accuser Suspended from Teaching for Three Months

Nathan Cofnas, an American academic who made accusations against Professor Jason Arday, has been issued a three-month ban from teaching at Ghent University. Despite this suspension from classroom duties, Cofnas will be allowed to continue his postdoctoral research at the Belgian university.

The disciplinary action follows a preliminary investigation into Cofnas's conduct, initiated after the passing of Professor Arday. The university's ruling permits Cofnas to maintain his research position while his teaching responsibilities are temporarily halted.
