Musicians Urge PM to Reject New North Sea Oil and Gas Drilling

Over 200 musicians, including prominent artists like Brian Eno, Romy, and Thom Yorke, have signed an open letter to Prime Minister Andy Burnham, urging him to reject proposals for new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea. The signatories argue that approving projects like the Rosebank oilfield would contradict climate realities and would not effectively lower energy bills or enhance energy security, as much of the extracted oil is expected to be exported.
