Sydney Woman Jailed for Dismembering Abusive Husband

A Sydney woman has been sentenced to an additional 12 months in jail for her role in the killing and dismemberment of her abusive husband. Nirmeen Noufl had previously pleaded guilty to killing Mamdouh in excessive self-defense during an assault.

Justice Peter Hamill noted the "brutal" and "thorough" nature of the body's disposal. The sentencing comes after a period of legal proceedings where Noufl had repeatedly lied to police in an attempt to conceal her actions.
