Rapper Lil Durk Acquitted in Murder-for-Hire Trial; Al Fayed Abuse Claims Near £150M

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Durk has been acquitted of all charges in a murder-for-hire trial. Prosecutors had accused the Chicago artist, born Durk Banks, of orchestrating a plot to kill a rival rapper in retaliation for the death of his friend. The verdict followed a trial where evidence was presented regarding a 2022 shooting that resulted in a fatality.

In separate legal developments, claims against the estate of the late Mohamed Al Fayed, former owner of Harrods, are reportedly escalating. A law firm representing 275 women alleging sexual abuse by Al Fayed estimates the total compensation claims could reach between £100 million and £150 million. This figure significantly exceeds the amount Harrods has reportedly set aside for abuse payouts.
