Google has launched its latest AI model, Gemini 3.8 Flash, marking the third "Flash" model released in just six weeks. The company states that this new iteration "works harder" than its predecessor, Gemini 3.7 Flash, by engaging in more reasoning steps for complex tasks and utilizing tools iteratively.

Despite the enhanced capabilities, Gemini 3.8 Flash maintains the same introductory pricing as the previous version: $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens. This rapid release cycle suggests a focused effort by Google to quickly iterate and improve its AI offerings, particularly within the Flash model series, while potentially pausing updates for its Pro model.
