Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to remake the 2012 South Korean thriller "Confession of Murder," with Chris MacBride attached to write the screenplay. Glen Powell, known for his roles in "Top Gun: Maverick" and "Anyone But You," is set to produce the film through his Barnstorm production company, alongside Dan Cohen. The original film centered on a detective's pursuit of a serial killer who publishes a memoir after the statute of limitations has expired.
