All Blacks dominate Sharks in Durban as Rugby's Greatest Rivalry tour begins

The All Blacks opened their eight-match 'Rugby's Greatest Rivalry' tour of South Africa with a 54-0 victory over the Sharks in Durban on Tuesday. The match, played in cold and rainy conditions at Kings Park Stadium, drew a sparse crowd of 14,759 in the 52,000-seat venue, raising questions about the commercial viability of the new venture. The tour, a 50-50 commercial partnership between the two unions, will culminate in four Tests, including one in Baltimore, expected to generate $4m-$6m more than a South Africa-based match.
