Global Film Festival Circuit Heats Up with Major Announcements and Premieres

The international film festival circuit is gearing up for a busy autumn season, with major announcements from events in Europe and Asia. The Zurich Film Festival has unveiled its first selection of Gala Premieres, including world premieres of German films 'Love, After All' by Andreas Dresen and 'How Can I Help?' by Doris Dörrie, as well as the European premiere of Peter Farrelly's 'I Play Rocky' and the Channing Tatum-starrer 'Josephine'. The festival runs from September 9 to October 10. Meanwhile, the Edinburgh International Film Festival is screening Marc Turtletaub's 'Borges and Me' in a primetime out-of-competition slot, and the Locarno Film Festival is honoring Italian actress Asia Argento with a Life Achievement Award while premiering films like Meritxell Colell's 'Far From the Trees' in its international competition.
