talent and time are your only assets: robert mckee is right on the will to write

“Beyond imagination and insight, the most important component of talent is perseverance—the will to write and rewrite in pursuit of perfection.

Therefore, when inspiration sparks the desire to write, the artist immediately asks: Is this idea so fascinating, so rich in possibility, that I want to spend months, perhaps years, of my life in pursuit of its fulfillment?

Is this concept so exciting that I will get up each morning with the hunger to write?

Will this inspiration compel me to sacrifice all of life’s other pleasures in my quest to perfect its telling?

If the answer is no, find another idea.

Talent and time are a writer’s only assets.
Why give your life to an idea that’s not worth your life?”
— Robert McKee

civilization is against evolution

Civilization is working against evolution.
Civilized human being definitely does not mean an evolved one. Evolution of mankind has to be untraceably, unnoticably slow, if there is any. We can not have an idea on whether we are evolving or not. We can have an idea of evolution from cave-men to city-men. That is because it covers a timespan of several thousand years.

We can says human beings are evolving if after a thousand years, that is if we haven’t already destroyed mankind, someone will look back at the documents and say “We have a bigger brains, smaller feet, supplementary gills, bigger eyes, and wider nostrils. The humans a thousand years ago didn’t have these.” That is of course only the biological aspect of the subject. Which actually only develops against natural causes and/or obstacles, not with what we want. Of course we may want to fly. But this ability will only improve after generations and generations of humans being exposed to some kind of natural disaster or change in gravity and/or air composition that will leave us no other option but to fly.

living by values and having integrity is against nature

Living by values and having integrity is against nature. Nature solves everything using the easiest way possible. Stream finds the slope to join the river in the easiest way possible. Animals hunt the easiest food they can catch. The same principle goes for humans too.

Corruption and scam is the easiest way for a human being to solve his issues. And therefore it is the natural way. Therefore it was always there. Throughout the history it was right there helping man solve his troubles. Assasinating their kings, bribing princes, overthrowing governments, looting civilizations, modernizing other people and so…
